Varicocele embolization is an interventional procedure that diverts blood flow from an enlarged vein (varicocele) in the scrotum. Radiologists use a guided imaging tool and a catheter to place small coils or chemical agents to block, or embolize the vein. Varicoceles can cause pain, swelling and infertility.
